Imagine enjoying a delicious coffee while simultaneously experiencing the satisfaction of contributing financially to the educational growth and development of a young scholarship recipient in their professional training.
With this ongoing fundraising campaign, we aim to create a fund to subsidize partial scholarships and other supplementary expenses for the academic training of our 50 scholarship students in various university programs.
🏆 Providing incentive gifts and recognition for academic excellence and outstanding commitment to community service.
📚 Supporting the purchase of medical instruments and educational materials for students in medicine, nursing, engineering, architecture, dentistry, and other fields.
🎓 Providing training and workshops that help scholarship recipients develop valuable personal and professional skills.
💙 Sponsoring newly selected scholarship recipients through partial scholarships.
Every contribution, no matter the size, helps create meaningful educational opportunities and brings a young person in Nicaragua one step closer to achieving their dreams.
Every year, our scholarship program supports 50 to 60 university students determined to build a better future through education. Yet, nearly 80% of them do not own a laptop—an essential tool for completing assignments, attending online classes, and developing professional skills.
Without a computer, many students are forced to rely on their phones for academic work, making studying slower, more difficult, and far less effective.
Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, we have been able to provide laptops to some students. However, most scholarship recipients still do not have access to this critical resource.
Our goal is simple: every student in our program should have the tools they need to succeed. Through this campaign, your donation helps us purchase laptops that open the door to better learning, greater opportunities, and a brighter future.
At Fundación A. Jean Brugger, receiving a scholarship means more than earning financial support—it means making a commitment to give back.
Every scholarship recipient participates in our Community Service Program (PSSC), where students transform their knowledge into meaningful action by developing projects that improve the lives of others. This program is a cornerstone of our scholarship model, helping students grow not only academically but also as compassionate leaders committed to their communities.
Each year, our scholarship recipients design and lead 5 to 8 community initiatives focused on health, education, and environmental awareness. These projects directly benefit 200 to 250 children, youth, and adults across approximately 10 rural communities in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua.
Past initiatives have included:
Health education for adolescent girls and mothers.
Medical counseling for people living with chronic illnesses.
Career guidance for high school students.
Reading and writing enrichment programs for children.
Environmental awareness and community development activities.
To make these initiatives possible, students need resources for transportation, meals, educational materials, and workshop supplies. Each project requires an annual budget of approximately $300–$500.
Your donation helps turn student ideas into real community impact—empowering the next generation of leaders while improving the lives of hundreds of families every year.
